Yngwie Malmsteen Scales Lesson Yngwie Malmsteen (who's real name is Lars Johann Yngwie Lannerback was born in Stockholm, Sweden, June, 1963.His music influences include Jimi Hendrix, Ritchie Blackmore, Bach, Vivaldi, Beethoven, and Mozart and 19th century violin- ist Niccolo Paganini. Yngwie Malmsteen is known for his flambouyant use of exotic scales, and modes and arpeggios and classical guitar scales which he applies to his guitar solo's in nearly every song. This lesson teaches some of Yngwie's most commonly used tools, all of which are taught in the key of E, which is often favored among Yngwie and great players alike for it's "low bottom end" sound.
