Yngwie Malmsteen Style Guitar Lick

Known for his brilliant combinations of guitar scales,
much of guitar great Yngwie Malmsteen's playing style
is based upon classical guitar scales & modes. This
lesson demonstrates the use of A Spanish Phrygian mode 
in combination with A Harmonic Minor Guitar Scale.

This is a good study of how the changing or addition
of a single note of any given scale or mode can drama-
tically change the sound. As often compared to the 
A Minor Natural or Pure Scale (A,B,C,D,E,F,G,A), the
A Spanish Phrygian Mode is altered to a half step
from the note B, to A#,Bb. The A Harmonic Minor Scale
differs by it's raised 7th interval, changing the note
from G to G#,Ab.
