       S.R.V. * Couldn't Stand The Weather * Part 2

This lesson explores the many elements and techniques that
identified Stevie Ray Vaughn's unique and original playing
style. This riff begins using "octaves", and also includes
"double stops", "slides, and most importantly, very accurate
"string bends". As string bends are made most commonly made
with the frethand ring finger, Stevie Ray Vaughn and other
great blues artist alike are famous for their precise index
finger string bends. Players like Stevie Ray Vaughn and Jimi
Hendrix, were also famous for using the thumb (frethand)
to fret notes on the larger strings. Special symbols for
this lesson are: 1/4=one fourth string bend * s=slide
T=thumb * x=muffled strings * v=vibrato * p=pull-off

"Couldn't Stand The Weather", the scales that this solo
is based upon are D and B pentatonic minor, the blues

p=pull-off, h=hammer-on, v=vibrato, 1/4=bend 1/4 step
and f+1/2=full bend, plus a half step (bend a whole step
