This song is without question, one of the most popular
songs ever written which remains in demand for most cover
bands to perform today. The most popular recorded versions
would include Loggins & Messina and Poison. This lesson
may be considered a combination of the two.

The intro guitar is a demonstration of Poison's guitarist
(C.C. Deville Style) opening guitar solo lick (shown as 
part #1), which demonstrates the use of the "major 3rd". 
Part #2 demonstrates the verses, which were composed and 
written using D,G, and A major pentatonic ascending runs. 
Part #3 teaches the chorus.
