Anthrax * Caught In A Mosh

During the 1980's, MTV introduced new and hardcore
heavy metal bands such as "Anthrax" featuring the 
finatical rhythm guitar work of rhythm guitarist
"Scott Ian". Scott's phenomenal rhythm guitar sound
much relies on heavy muting with open and closed
notes, played with powerchords (also much of which
are heavily muted in various Anthrax songs). 

Developing a good rhythm guitar "muting" technique,
relies on bringing the palm of the frethand, slightly
over the bridge (resting the palm on the strings) to
help "deaden" or "mute" the sound.
