Some key secrets to playing a good solid heavy metal rhythm 
guitar is to add "alternate picking" (down, up, down, up) etc...
while often also "muting" the single notes that are played
between the chords. This lesson is a prime example of these
rhythm guitar techniques as played by Megadeth guitarist's
Marty Friedman and Dave Mustaine as parts 2 and 3 illustrate
alternate picking and muting.
