Gary Moore Guitar Licks Lesson
One time lead guitarist of Thin Lizzy, now solo artrist
Gary Moore (who was also once offered the job as a re-
placement for the late Randy Rhoads), is known for his
mix of classical & blues guitar playing. His playing style
relies on much practice and dedication which is displayed
in his music from the early days with Thin Lizzy, to his
current solo projects. This lesson is a breif introduction
to some of the guitar licks and techniques of Gary Moore.
Guitar lick #1 demonstrates how Gary obtains his well known
"choppy phrasing" as can be heard in the song "Murder In
The Skies". Much of this technique relies on heavy palm
muting.
