Eric Patrick Clapton was born on 30 March 1945 
in his grandparents' home at 1 The Green, Ripley, Surrey, 
England.

In early 1963, Clapton joined his first band, The Roosters. 
Bands to follow would include The Yardbirds, John Mayall's 
Bluesbreakers, Cream and has scince continued with his solo 
career producing such top selling hit's as "Cocaine" and 
"Layla" and "Tears In Heaven", only to mention a few. 

His main guitar is a Fender Stratocaster.

This lesson teaches simplified versions of 2 of Eric's 
biggest hit's. Lesson One the easy version of "Crossroads" 
from his early days with "Cream".

Lesson Two teaches the easy to play guitar chord version of 
Eric's classic hit "I Shot The Sherrif".

This song is worth learning for many reasons. Aside from
an easy fundamental song that you can add to your playlist,
this song is one of the most top requested songs for cover
bands. It also demonstrates the simplicity of a number 
one top hit, which goes to show that a song does not have
to be hard or complicated to be good. Example #1 is showing
