Guitar Barre Chords

If you are new trying to learn how to play guitar 
chords, or have been playing a while and are new to 
barre chords, Blues Traveler's song "Hook" makes a
good study of various barre chord positioning's.
Example's #1 show the fingerings. Example's #2 shows
what the barre chords looks like when written in
standard guitar tablature. 

A Major Barre Chord
When playing this barre chord, the index finger
"barre's" (holds down) all 6 strings. The additional
fingers are then added. r=ring finger is added to the
7th fret A string, p=pinky finger is added to the 7th
fret D string and m=middle finger is added on the 6th 
fret G string. 

The notes played in order in this barre chord are: 
A,E,A,C#,E A which is the equivalant guitar chord
formula 1,3,5 intervals derived from A major scale=
A,C#,E.
