E Blues Shuffle


Played at a slow tempo this standard 3 chord blues
progression in the key of E (E,A,B) provides many
blues guitar rhythm's from Delta Mississippi Blues,
to Louisiana Cajun Blues guitar. 

Played at faster tempos, it can also provide more of 
a modern blues boogie guitar rhythm in the playing 
style's of B.B. King, Johnny Winter, Stevie Ray Vaughn 
and other's alike. This rhythm is a good rhythm to use 
as a backing rhythm when learning to improvise and create 
your own  blues guitar lick's and solo's wether played 
as standardblues lead guitar, or slide guitar. 

Choice scale's to 
begin to experiment with improvising for this blues
guitar rhythm played in E would include the E minor 
pentatonic scale (E,G,A,B,D) E major pentatonic scale
(E,F#,G#,B,C#) E blues scale (E,G,A,A#,B,D,E) and 
E mixoblues scale (E,G,G#,A,A#,B,D,E)
