Building Blues Riffs
 
The majority of blues riffs are derived from the intervals
1,4,and 5 of the major scale. In the key of C, this provides
a 3 note pattern of C,F and G which also builds the common
3 chord progression of C,F and G. Major or minor scales
may be used when building riffs. This lesson teaches one
of the more common riffs which is built upon pentatonic
minor scales.
